So Bill Simmons can tweet all that, but Peter Pascarelli gets suspended and loses his podcast for griping about Bud Selig, and Scott Van Pelt gets suspended for talking about Selig’s “pimp cup.”
Simmons also mentioned Selig in an ESPN chat after the initial posting of this article.
It’s almost like one of these things is not like the others.




The difference is, Bill Simmons’ contract with ESPN is about to expire, and ESPN knows that punishing him for anything, especially after the “Twitter suspension” last year for going on Adam Corolla’s show, is basically guaranteeing they drive their biggest internet draw out the door.
Yup, these are the reasons.
Also, the Twitter suspension was for something else while he was on his book tour; he wasn’t on Twitter at the time of the Carolla kerfuffle.
